Inter-Church Softball League

Bethany #1 is moving to Rivers 2 and Bethany #2 is moving to Szot 3.  Bethany fields are unplayable.  Hopefully we can get all games in tonight.

The coed games on Blunt Park #3 between Bethany 1 and New Day Coed have been moved to Marshall Roy Field #4 for tonight’s games.

Once again I am the bearer of bad news.  All games for Tuesday, July 18th are cancelled.  Springfield Parks has notified me that all of their fields are unplayable and under water.  Likewise, Bethany fields are also unplayable.  With such a vast number of games that have to be cancelled it isn’t possible to play the other games and try to make-up the ones that are lost.  It currently looks like another round of rain is coming into the greater Springfield area (which could also hit Chicopee) which will make the fields worse.  I wish there was another option but at this point my hands are tied.

It looks like we got all the games in tonight except for Blunt #’s 3&4. My apologies to those who went to Blunt to those games.  Let me try to explain what happened.  Bethany’s fields were also under water and thanks to Phil I was notified early enough to move these teams to other fields.

It just so happens that this rain pick a bad week. This is the week that our director Nikali, my contact Randy at Spfld P&R and my contact Rich at Chicopee P&R went on vacation.  Randy has always been good to call me by mid-morning to let me know about Springfield field conditions.  I again apologize, but who knew all three would vacation the same week and then the rain, but it is Tuesday

I failed to post right after the All –Star game that some items were left behind and put in my truck. A couple of the items were missed right away and I was contacted and they are back where they belong.  I still have three items.  Contact me at dphenry@integrity.com if you left something behind.  I may have it!
