WEEK TWO HIGHLIGHTS

James Tierney led Christ Presbyterian Church to an 11 - 9 win over First Baptist with two home runs and two singles in a 4 for 4 effort. It was another close game at the end with First Baptist having the go ahead run at the plate with one down in the top of the seventh. Also, Brian Moore went 4 for 4 at the top of the line-up.

In game 1 Holland Congregational beat Word of Grace 11-5 in another good pitching effort by Tom Crouse. As was the case in week 1, a shutout could've been had were it not for Tommy "Oooh, oooh I pulled my quad" LaPrade's giving up a 4 base shot.
Game 2 saw Holland beat Christ Presbyterian 8-4. The key to the game was a pinch hit by Mike "the stint" Cormier which gave Holland a cushion they held onto as the darkness approached.
Bethany 1, had a good night offensively scoring 29 runs in their two wins, but the HR of the night or possibly the season was hit by Kyle Theriault on Diamond 1 at Bethany, some 450ft. to left field. It was incredible and word is it is still going.
