WEEK NINE HIGHLIGHTS

Holland Congregational proved to be too much for Christ Presbyterian Church, winning the first game of the double header, 12 - 3. In the second game, however, the bats finally came alive for Christ Presbyterian in the bottom of the seventh inning. Entering the bottom of the seventh down 8 - 0, Christ Presbyterian scored nine improbable runs to win the game. Kudos go to Christian Sanchez for starting the rally in the bottom of the seventh with a triple and for Andy "Bout Time ya Hit it Deep" Benkert hitting a three run triple to tie the score and then scoring the winning run off of Stephen "Try to Play Closer to the Line" Farnham's fielder's choice. Ven "Pull the Ball" Grumoli pitched two great games, as well. Good games from both teams despite the heat and humidity.
